About DSC / Uses
in addition to esign (an online digital signature feature similar to DSC without DSC token for non-regulatory use), Yes, it can be used to sign personal and corporate documents to authenticate the legitimacy of the documents and to ensure that the document has not undergone any changes during the document life cycle process. If any changes are made to the documents after applying DSC, the signature validation will fail and appropriate error messages will be displayed to the user / person accessing such document.

Digital signature assures:
- Authenticity : The signer is confirmed as the signer.
- Integrity : The content has not been changed or tampered with since it was digitally signed.
- Non-repudiation : Proves to all parties the origin of the signed content. (Repudiation refers to the act of a signer denying any association with the signed content.)
- Notarization : Signatures in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft PowerPoint files, which are time stamped by a secure time-stamp server, under certain circumstances, have the validity of a notarization.
To make the above assurances, the content creator must digitally sign the content by using a signature that must satisfy the following criteria:
- The digital signature is valid.
- The certificate associated with the digital signature is current (not expired).
- The signing person or organization, known as the publisher, is trusted.
USB Crypto token is essential and required to store the Digital Signature Certificate. DSC cannot be stored on any other medium, cannot be stored as a file on disk or on regular USB drives.
The token is specially created and designed to store DSC securely. more details can be found in the product page under "Technical Information" tab.
The DSC can be downloaded only once on to the USB crypt token and can store a maximum of 6 DSCs.
